Minutes after I finished the article yesterday on which iPhone apps I was going to download today, the iPhone 2.0 software and the iTunes application store became available (although not officially). I installed it and tested applications for hours. The applications I wanted, I downloaded, and are nothing short of phenomenal. The PayPal application is very convenient, it’s nice to be able to check your balance and send money on the fly. I don’t use evernote as much as I thought I would if any at all, but that could change I suppose. Loopt is very cool, but I don’t know anyone else who uses it or might use it, I really hope it picks up. I think it is a fantastic concept and could be a lot of fun. Twitterrific is fantastic as I expected it to be, definitely beats the web apps they had. (Hahlo, PocketTweets.) My favorite definitely has to be the Facebook iPhone Application, stunning to say the least. The UI looks great, it’s definitely a step up from their web app, and I really didn’t expect them to integrate Facebook chat into it. If you’ve got an iPhone, update your firmware and start downloading some applications. Let me know if you find anything interesting.
